What type of restrictions are added to OneTap
Check-in time/date restriction
Admins can setup time range for their attendees to check-in between.
Example - Students cannot check-in to a 9Am class at 9:05Am
Check-in location restriction
Set up a perimeter on the map where attendees can only check-in if they are within that perimeter.
Check-in time and location restrictions are an essential part of an entire check-in process for your school, university, and events.
Who is it for
Teachers who wish to restrict check-ins into their classes after class begins, in order to ensure better student behavior.
School administrators who wish to run a separate attendance sheet for tracking tardies.
Professors who want to restrict students from checking in from their dorm and not coming to the class.
Event organizers who do not want anyone else to check in outside the venue.
How to set it up
Update: We have moved the check-in restriction feature from list settings to list "Share Check-in Link."
Click on the three dots next to the list to access the "Actions" menu
Click on "Share Check-in Link" and choose Settings.
Under "Check-in Restrictions" click on "Enabled" to access restrictions. Enable the restrictions to choose a location, time, and date restriction.
use "+" and "-" to increase or decrease the allowed location perimeter.
FAQs
What would an attendee see if the check-in outside the location
Attendees would see an alert saying that they are outside the restricted area.
Is it important for the attendees to share their location while checking-in?
Yes! if the admin has restricted check-in location, attendees would have to enable their location at the time of checking-in.
