How secure is my data on OneTap?

We are a paid software as a service platform so we take data security very seriously, we do not sell or make any profit from the data stored under your account.

We store the data on MongoDB cloud, a large database provider. All data is transferred from devices to our secure servers using HTTPS & SSL.

One Tap Check-in uses industry-standard security to protect your account such as

  • Encrypted Passwords

  • Encrypted End-to-End Connection

  • Secure Sessions

  • Google OAuth login

SSL information:

  • SHA-256 with RSA Encryption

  • Key size: 2,048 bits

We use strict access control to protect your data from being accessed by anyone other than the account holder. Our support staff may request permission to access your data for support-related inquires; you may choose to deny the request.

Who owns the data?

The data belongs to you; we just store and process it. We will delete data from our databases if requested by our customers.

Email us at [email protected] for any requests.

And where is the data stored?

The data is stored in the AWS / N. Virginia (us-east-1) region.

The data is stored on a MongoDB cloud database. Learn more about MongoDB here.

Who will my information be shared with?

In short - we don't actively share your visitor's information with anyone directly.

Being a paid product, all the visitor's data stays with us and is NOT sold to any other business for marketing or sales.

These companies listed are our vendors.

Virtually every software app uses these "vendors" to process data.

Think of it like this - You are a telephone company offering phone plans, but you need to work with distributors like Walmart to sell your plan, a credit card processing company for payment, a mail delivery service like USPS, ... etc.

These vendors don't have your visitor/guest information, but they have limited information they need for our app to work (e.g., USPS knows your mailing address if we mail a statement to your address).
